The Shop
The Birmingham Bead Shop opened in the summer of 2009. At that time we felt Birmingham had a distinct lack of arts and crafts supplies shops, and unlike most other cities – it had no full time bead shop. The shop is located in The Custard Factory in Digbeth, built by Sir Alfred Bird (he of Bird’s custard powder) over 100 years ago. It’s the home of all things creative and independent in Birmingham, and is just 5 minutes from the Bullring just off Digbeth high street.

We are a small, independent shop that prides itself on providing personal and friendly service, and we want you to see the shop as being as much yours as it is ours. We want it to be an inviting and inspiring place to browse and shop, so welcome your feedback and ideas, and love to see what you've been making! While alot of the products you can see here online are also available in our shop, there are some short runs and limited ranges that can only be found online and not in the shop, and vice versa.
