The Birmingham Bead Shop is a lovely new independent shop selling beads, buttons and jewellery making supplies, as well as ready made jewellery and accessories. It’s also an informal, fun and inspirational space that hopes to provide all the beaders, crafters and remotely interested people of Birmingham with somewhere to meet, chat, browse and make.
The shop is as much yours as it is mine so please get in touch if you have any ideas, comments or requests.
Closing on Sundays

I've decided to change the shop opening hours so that its closed on a Sunday aswell as a Monday, starting from the 1st March. There's lots of reasons, but the main two are so that we can have workshops and parties in the daytime on a sunday, and so I can have a bit of a life and a day off once in a while (I run the shop entirely on my own so at the moment I'm here every day tuesday to sunday, and then spend mondays when its closed doing paperwork, banking and equally exciting tasks...) Recently its been very quiet on a Sunday anyway so hopefully it won't affect anyone's bead shopping too much. As an apology to anyone it might affect, please mention this post next time you visit and have 10% off...

I've finally updated the shop blog and will be attempting to do it at least once a fortnight (optimistic?!) from now on. The first chain mail workshop last sunday, led by the lovely Vina, was a great success and new workshops including chain mail, beadwork and wirework will be added to the list over the next week or so - have a look at the workshops section and/or the blog http://thebirminghambeadshop.wordpress.com/ for details.
